We make sure all our new patients feel welcome, safe, and cared for.

We offer 45 minute or 90 minutes appointments, depending upon how complex you feel your needs are.

All appointments are carried out in a private, secure treatment room. You will be treated with the upmost discretion and privacy throughout your session.

Initially, your specialist Women’s Health physiotherapist will discuss with you the reasons for your visit, and will ask you questions about your general health. She will then assess your movement and posture before, with your agreement, carrying out an internal examination. It is important for the physiotherapist to assess your pelvic floor in detail, but if you do not feel ready to undergo an internal examination during your first visit, it is not essential.

Chaperoning

We understand that some patients may wish to be accompanied during their assessment and treatment, and we welcome you bringing along someone to support you if you prefer.

Parents are also welcome to bring along younger children during their own appointments if no childcare is available at the appointment time.

Consent

We will ask you to sign a consent form at the start of your treatment but you may be asked to sign additional consent forms for procedures such as acupuncture.

Informed consent is vital and it is good practice for this to be reported in your notes.

We actively encourage an openness between the patient and therapist during assessment and treatment and this will always be treated as confidential information.

Women’s Health Assessment, 45 minutes: £75

Women’s Health Assessment, 85 minutes: £145

Women’s Health Follow Up Treatment, 45 minutes: £68

Women’s Health Follow Up Treatment, 85 minutes: £130

New Mum Checks, 45 minutes: £75

Pessary Fitting / Trial Appointment, 90 minutes: £200 (Cost of pessaries used during the fitting will be added to the cost. These range between £3 - £40)

Pessary Fitting Follow Up Appointment, 45 minutes: £75 (This appointment is mandatory to check the pessary fitted and needs to be booked 2-4 weeks after the initial fitting appointment)
