What to Expect at Your First Appointment:

• Duration: We offer appointments of 45 minutes or 90 minutes, depending on the complexity of your needs. This allows us to provide the best care possible and ensure all your questions are addressed.

• Private Treatment Room: All appointments are held in a private, secure treatment room, where we guarantee your discretion and privacy throughout the session.

Your specialist Women’s Health Physiotherapist will begin by:

1. Discussing your reasons for your visit: We’ll take time to understand your symptoms, concerns, and health history.

2. Assessing your movement and posture: This helps us identify any issues that could be contributing to your discomfort.

3. Internal Examination (optional): With your consent, we may carry out an internal examination of your pelvic floor. However, if you’re not comfortable with this during your first visit, it is not essential and can be postponed.

Chaperoning

We understand that some patients may prefer to have someone accompany them during their assessment and treatment. You are welcome to bring along a companion for support during your appointment.

Parents are also welcome to bring along their younger children if childcare isn’t available.

Consent

At the beginning of your treatment, we will ask you to sign a consent form. You may also be asked to sign additional forms for certain procedures, such as acupuncture. We believe in informed consent and encourage open communication between you and your therapist.

Confidentiality is a priority for us, and all information shared will be kept in the strictest confidence.

Women’s Health Assessment, 45 minutes: £75

Women’s Health Assessment, 85 minutes: £145

Women’s Health Follow Up Treatment, 45 minutes: £68

Women’s Health Follow Up Treatment, 85 minutes: £130

New Mum Checks, 45 minutes: £75

Pessary Fitting / Trial Appointment, 90 minutes: £200 (Cost of pessaries used during the fitting will be added to the cost. These range between £3 - £40)

Pessary Fitting Follow Up Appointment, 45 minutes: £75 (This appointment is mandatory to check the pessary fitted and needs to be booked 2-4 weeks after the initial fitting appointment)
