Beccy Hands

Beccy Hands is a clinical soft tissue therapist with a passion for women’s health. Having trained initially in sports and remedial massage, Beccy then went on to specialise in Pre and Postnatal massage therapy, training in the UK with Suzanne Yates of Well Mother and also completing training abroad in postnatal massage therapy in Asia and South America. Beccy has also worked as a birth doula since 2003 and co-wrote The Little Book of Self Care for New Mums & The Little Book of Self Care for Mums to Be, published by Penguin Random House in 2018 & 2020.

 

Movement For Life

Claire Russell Burns is a yoga teacher and certified Restore Your Core teacher (RYC™) with a passion for helping women who are experiencing core and pelvic floor issues. She supports women postnatally all the way through to post menopause. She runs a regular mum and baby core restore and pelvic floor class, a yoga and movement class open to any women experiencing core issues and also runs regular Restore Your Core courses. Chloe Thornton - Hypnobirthing

Chloe Thornton is a trained midwife from Australia and is now teaching Hypnobirthing classes as 1:1 or small group sessions.

She is able to support parents-to-be through their journey of pregnancy, birth and beyond to allow for a positive birth experience.

Chloe also work as one of our fabulous reception/administrators at the clinic, so she come highly recommended!

 

Oasis Acupuncture

Emma Vickers is a licensed Acupuncturist and member of the British Acupuncture Council. 

She has experience of treating a whole range of health conditions for both men and women, with particular focus on:

Women’s hormonal health (menstruation to menopause), anxiety and depression, digestive health, pain management, fertility issues and pregnancy support

Myla Health

Myla Health are a team of doctors specialising in women’s health, hormone health and menopause.

Dr Olivia Hum is a GP and one of a small number of British Menopause Society menopause specialists. With Dr Zoe Schaedel, Dr Rebecca Walker and Dr Zoe Douglass we promote holistic menopause care, looking at the physical, social and psychological ways in which menopause can affect you.

They prescribe body-identical plant based HRT if needed and can help with a tailored regime of vaginal oestrogen for optimal vulval and vaginal health.

Sussex Physiotherapy

Emily is a highly specialist chartered musculoskeletal & pelvic health  Physiotherapist with over 12 years clinical experience in both the NHS & private sector with a particular interest in male and female pelvic health.

Having been a member of the team at Women’s Health Brighton / Brighton Physiotherapy Clinic, Emily still has close links to the clinic whilst working from her own practice now in Selmeston.

Alexis Stickland - Holistic Midwife Therapies

Midwifery complementary therapies to enhance pregnancy and postnatal wellbeing. Alexis Stickland is offering midwife led therapies are designed to work alongside your standard/traditional maternity care. They are safe and evidence-based holistic treatments that can help relieve physical discomforts, ease worries and optimise the incredible work your body is doing.

 

Lushtums

Lushtums founder Clare Maddalena is a Senior Yoga Teacher (SYT), doula and mother of two, and has taught over 10,000 women since becoming a yoga teacher back in 2003. She teaches tried and tested techniques inspired by yoga and various mindfulness courses, including NLP and life coaching that are key for birth preparation. 

Lushtums is everything women. Based in studios across Brighton & Hove, they offer pregnancy yoga, preparation for birth classes, prepare for baby & breastfeeding classes, postnatal mum & baby yoga, women’s yoga, wigglebums yoga for children and now Restore Your Core classes. 

Hello Baby Brighton

Hello Baby Brighton was founded with a passion to not only work with couples to help change their experience of birth, but also with the goal of continuity of care - something which is quite rare these days. They run private and group Hypnobirthing Courses give you the tools you'll need to stay calm and focused, throughout your pregnancy and during the birth of your baby and online Pregnancy Relaxation classes will help you feel grounded and looked after.

 

Mother Nurture

A 10-week therapeutic group for new mums and their babies.

Becoming a mum for the first time brings big changes to life and has lots of challenges! That is why Mother Nurture aims to provide a supportive space for women to talk, as they begin their journey as new mums, in a secure and friendly environment.

Their goal is to support new mums to grow in confidence and resilience, as they care for their baby-enabling everyone to get the best start.

Second Nature

A unique 8-week therapeutic postnatal group, run by professional counsellors, for second+ time mums/birthing-parents. Our groups provide a supportive and friendly space for women to talk, as they navigate the ups and downs of becoming a mum again, within their existing family structure.

The Alternative Midwife - Gemma Clifford

Gemma Clifford is a Registered Midwife, Birth Educator and Birth Trauma Therapist. With a passion for the continuity of care model, personalised care and perinatal mental wellbeing - Gemma combines being a Midwifery Team Leader for an NHS Birth Centre alongside her own creation, The Alternative Midwife specialising in Birth Trauma therapy and independent midwifery care, a service that runs across Sussex.

She offers Birth Trauma Resolution Therapy using The ‘Rewind’ method - which is fast, safe, and effective therapy with life altering and profound outcomes for women suffering with Birth and Perinatal Trauma and PTSD. 

The ‘Rewind’ is a highly effective approach that enables a way to neutralise the emotions of highly charged memories, previous birth and perinatal trauma or future fears of childbirth, so that you are not triggered during birth and can move from a place of fear and debilitation to planning and looking more readily to an upcoming pregnancy and birth.
